Why: Election Talking Points
Amid staffing shortages, increased workplace violence and other barriers to practice you may face, your voice matters more than ever. AACN remains committed to providing essential support to critical care nurses, advocating for healthy work environments and advancing nursing’s role in decision-making forums.
By voting in the AACN election, you help select leaders who represent the core values and issues most important to you today.

Who has the “Courage to Soar” to lead AACN — your professional organization — into the future? Initiatives driven by AACN leadership, such as our recently published “AACN Standards for Appropriate Staffing in Adult Critical Care,” have a profound impact on nurses, patients and families that promise to shape the future of healthcare.
Have a say in who will influence AACN’s strategic direction.

Every vote is vital. It is foundational to AACN that all members have a voice in selecting our leaders.
Voting demonstrates your pride in nursing and AACN, as well as your support of colleagues who are candidates.
Thank you for your efforts to help ensure strong leadership for AACN’s future and the future of patient care!
