CIC AACN Dinner Meeting September 9, 2024, with Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and Charity Info

Hello! We are finalizing plans for exact time of our Monday, September 9, 2024, dinner meeting with Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals with the topic of Terlivaz (Terlipressin). It will be held at Ruth Chris (86th Street) at northside Location. Please be watching for email with registration details in the next 24-28 hours from our programs chair.

Seating at this meeting will be limited. Be sure to register early!

Charity information:

September we are collecting hygiene items for disadvantaged teens in a high school. These items will be given to teens discreetly by the school nurse. You may bring them to next meeting. You could spread word to your unit and gather more items from your nurse friends. The following are needed:

Girls: Tampons, pads. Panties size 6,7,8 (cotton, modest dark color) Any teen: deodorant, liquid shower soap, shampoo, condition, hair ties, combs, brushes. Nair, toothbrush, toothpaste, chap stick, flossers, acne care soaps or items, boys or girl's white no show socks.

Boys' underwear small, medium, large brief or boxers. You may bring them in a bag, box or a plain backpack.

FYI: CIC-AACN events are reserved exclusively for nurses and unlicensed nursing students unless otherwise noted. Attendance at events will be free to those who are members of the national American Association of Critical Care Nurses AND the Central Indiana Chapter. As space and scope allows, unlicensed, undergraduate nursing students are exempt from dinner attendance charges. Please show your valid student ID.

 If you do not hold current memberships in both the national AACN and with the Central Indiana Chapter, you will be charged $20 to attend the event. Funds collected are used within the chapter for charity, member educational, and/or scholarship purposes.

If you are only missing the local chapter membership, we invite you to consider paying $30 instead, as this will provide you chapter membership and cover you for one year of events provided your national membership remains in good standing.
